Microneedling

What is Microneedling

Microneedling is a dermaroller procedure that uses small needles to prick the skin. The purpose of treatment is to generate new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin. Microneedling is mostly used on the face and may treat various scars, wrinkles, and large pores. Combined with PRP/PRF this facial is the ultimate anti-aging treatment. A guest’s blood is drawn and processed to collect the Platelet-Rich Plasma/Fibrin (PRP/PRF) also known as “Liquid Gold” which is rich in collagen-stimulating components. This amazing serum is used on the skin while microneedling the face, neck, and décolletage to stimulate collagen, minimize pore size, improve skin texture, diminish scarring, and improve the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles.

We find that aging and environmental damage – particularly sun damage – causes the skin’s structural proteins to be depleted and be replaced at a slower rate. Microneedling gives the biological process of cell renewal a way to create new collagen and elastin.

With PRP/PRF

This facial is the ultimate anti-aging treatment as it has everything from our basic microneedling facial and also includes PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin). A guest’s blood is drawn and processed to collect the PRF, also known as “Liquid Gold,” which is rich in collagen-stimulating components. PRF is recognized by the body and is absorbed deeper into the tissue which allows for a slow release of growth factors, accelerating your results to the next level.

FAQ

MICRONEEDLING

How long does the treatment take?

Does microneedling hurt?

We used topical numbing agents prior to all microneedling treatments which helps to significantly reduce discomfort. There are areas of the face that tend to be more sensitive such as the hairline, around the eyes and mouth.

What will my skin look like after treatment?

Your face will have significant redness immediately following the treatment and sometimes slight swelling.

Can I go back to my regular skincare routine after my treatment?

No. Makeup should be avoided for 12 hours and sunscreen should be avoided for 24 hours post treatment. No vigorous exercise, sun exposure, or exposure to excessive heat for at least 24 hours. For the first 3 days use generous amounts for hyaluronic acid throughout the day. Vitamin C can be reintroduced 3 days after and retinol and acids should be avoided for 7 days.
